Having a brush with death made me reconsider what I am living for, and what my purpose is. The Lord spoke this chapter of Isaiah to me over and over when I was 18. I felt these verses contained the directional vision for my life:
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations
and settle in their desolate cities.
13 All your children will be taught by the LORD,
and great will be their peace.
14 In righteousness you will be established:
These verses speak to me of a large family taught in His ways influencing cities and nations. "Do not hold back"??? Hmmmm...
