Rosebud, thrilled to have a piece of the room to herself says, "Since you've given me my own space, I really want to keep it clean!" Mom replies, "Yeah, when its yours, its easier to take care of it." Rosebud answers, "Except you have no one to help you clean it up!" Her joy and motivation is the reason why I'm not socialist.
Private ownership has proven to increase productivity. More control in the hands of the individual stimulates the economy. Why is it when we have problems, we want to make choices to give the government more control? Putting the problem in their hands is like telling all my three kids to clean up their room. Initiative and productivity go down. Yet tell them, "Here is your corner and when its clean you can play." and some of them will rock it as fast as they can. You will always have some loafers.
