My grandfather built this stone fireplace. My mother married my father in this yard. If not for them, I would not be here. Thank you.

I see in this work of Grandpa's--a part of me. He loved to make with hands, to build. He valued enduring materials...quality (the German qualitat!!) and well done work--it stands today. I hope my work will stand, as well. Although I love to build with my hands, my work is seen in the unseen parts of my children's hearts and minds.
