Tom after he saw the garden's hail damage, "I don't like God anymore." Tomato stems broken, holes & tears in the "punkins" were a sad sight. After awhile Tom started saying things like, "I'm sure glad our house didn't break down. I'm glad our car is OK." And he noticed all the grace there in the moment. And then, we were happy to discover our FIRST JALOPENOS. The kids ran into the house to present the gift to Daddy. Yea!
I reminded the kids that God used the destruction of hail to save the Israelite people from slavery...and how he can transform the ugly to beautiful.
