Did I ever know the Gospel?

Lately I've realized the depth of my own self righteousness...its almost funny. Coming to grips with my own struggles with anger--my own powerlessness in it--has helped me have a new appreciation for the Gospel. Jesus died for sinners *me* who keep sinning despite good intentions. Not sinning without repentance, but sinning as Paul said, "I do not do what I want to do." How great is His grace. How complete his work. How deep his love.
