Charlotte Mason style readings from Amblesideonline.org may have originated from the Everyman's original 1000 book collection

Everyman is a London based publisher from teh turn of the century. In my Blaise Pascal edition of "Pensees" I noticed in the back, a categorized list. This list is remarkable similar to the readings found on Amblesideonline.org site. Which makes sense because Charlotte Mason was English... maybe the founders of ambleside are too. At any rate, the Everyman collection discovery is helpful because there are more books to explore under the various school subjects. Some I just despise, like why do we keep reading Voltaire, Rousseau and other heathens... ack! But it is important to understand the enemy, if only to defeat him.
