I'm excited to help Rosebud learn something that I didn't know I was missing til college. My worst grade at Moody Bible Institute was in Inductive Bible Study. I STRUGGLED to reason from the part to the whole. Cynthia Tobias in The Way They Learn puts my problem this way, "an analytic learner may be able to relate all the facts of a story just read but may not be able to explain the theme. The analytic must consciously stretch himself to see and understand the bigger picture."
I didn't know I had this problem for so long and it affects all of life. I see my girls on both sides of this ability. It's wonderful. I have the chance to help Rosebud learn early on how to cope...how to stretch.
