Discovered this caterpillar on a bouquet of wildflowers the girls gathered for me. Chad and the kids explored what kind of butterfly it might become. They think a swallowtail because they found it eating a Queen Anne's Lace bloom. I just hap'd to have an Eyewitness documentary on butterflies which we then watched. Did you know that this caterpillar will *liquify* in its cocoon? Then it reforms.... reminds me of Romans 1:20:
"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse."
It strikes me that although none of us witnessed the creation of the world, to watch metamorphosis is witnessing--God creating--right now.
