Women's Lib and Reinventing the Youth Culture

Women have proved that they can do what men can do.  Now can we move on?  The cost in this battle has been high.  Women have abandoned their homes and their children and their men to pursue career for years.  Unhappy men and lonely children, divorce, single parent homes, rejection, and pain have been some of the negative results.

Its not to late to shift the direction of the ship. I believe society needed to accept the truth that women are equal to men-as the Bible has always said, "bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh" and "in the image of God he created them".  Now that we have made our statement, we need to turn our hearts toward home.

I believe our teen girls need to be prepared for marriage, parenting and running a household.  We are preparing them for college.  We are working on scholarships.  We are saving money.  We are buying cars.  We are giving them room to study, extra curricular sports and a social life.  But we are not preparing them for the most essential roles of their adult life.  Youth groups don't teach it--they want kids to have salvation, to be evangelists, but they aren't talking about being a dad or why its important to date your wife.  Parents are too busy with their hectic two parent income schedules to find time to invest in this vital education of their youth.  We need to reinvent the youth culture.

In this new youth culture, girls will learn to turn their heart toward home and know that it is not a demeaning role, a less than place in society.  They will learn skills, and be inspired by captivating vision of home life.  This vision is what I want to begin working on in my own heart and with my girls.   On a simple level, today my girls
